vocals. A symphony a la single heavily/heavenly distorted guitar. Lots of strange melodies and diversions. As good a guitar workout as Neil Young's epic 'Dead Man' soundtrack. This one grips you by the music buds and
twists. (7/10) DL.Glow (London)(Demo) 1. I'm Down 2. Can I Make a Difference. 3. Condensation. 4. Disappear. 5. Break Free. 6. Take me Over. London based band with
some Welsh peeps. Lots of busy chords which don't want to stop chiming. The songs veer from the annoying to the down right insulting. Imagine INXS snogging with Deep Blue Something, and recording the splashing noises on
tape, but lo, in a flash of inspiration they see God, and start playing Christian rock 'n roll whilst still pretending to be rock nasty boys and swearing a little bit. Cliff Richards would have this band
supporting, and quite frankly, I can't see who their audience would be, other than some really tedious young conservatives on the cutting edge of pop. I had this on me headphones on the bus yesterday, and the annoying
local nutter started talking to me. Normally I use my headphones as an excuse to ignore him, but in this instance I was happy to turn the CD off and indulge him. It doesn't get any better on subsequent listens, and I
long for the nutter in my house, give me something to do rather than have this playing. The rockier moments are mediocre and the soul searching ballads are too cheesy to get into a packet of cheetos.
Production wise, everything is fine, dandy and crisp. Musically though, tired, uninspired and limper than a month old Caesar salad.
Verdict: If I lost my hearing tomorrow, I could at least see a silver lining. (2/10) DL Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Track: Spanish Dance Troupe. (MP3) Get Them Here Yes I know it was a single, but I was so delighted to find this I had to review it. Probably the best sounding MP3 I have heard. Listful, melodic, playful and shot
full of quirk. Quite amazing and beautiful, to find it for free just made my week. Get it downloaded now if you don't already own a copy. (9/10) DL.
Grayman Jam, Newcastle, England. Track: We Got Cocaine and Coffee Here. (MP3) Get Them Here Strange and eclectic, with the sort of mixed bag of samples
the Beta Band like to use. Good repetitive vocal loop interspersed with strange My Bloody Valentine rumblings. Throw in some in your face horns, and the mix is chaotic. Interesting more than enjoyable, but definitely

80's grebo lead guitar. Strong driving vocals and plenty of interesting diversions to the outer limits make this track a winner in anybodies' book. Crisp and pleasing, chewy and absorbent. (8/10) DL. I
Indie, Copenhagen, Denmark. Track: Attention. (MP3)
Get Them Here Commanding and thumping electro drums and a pounding synth and bass track propel this infectious
piece of funk pop along its exciting course. Strong female vocals full of soul and range make this track stick in the recesses of your mind, and before you know it your whistling this too yourself all day. One
directional in its presence, and not so much of a head long rush as a pumping pulse. (7/10) DL.
